March TBR

March is upon us which means time to create another TBR for the new month. This Month the Year-a-thon challenge is to ‘link the book’ I’ve found a weak connection between some of these reads.

In March I plan to read 12 booksm ,most of which are carry overs from February – and by most I mean 6 – and didn’t quite finish. That being said I am hoping to continue reading Eclipse; The Secret History; After; Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban; Wild at Heart and The Complete Poems of Emily Dickenson. I also hope to pick up Check Please: Volume 1; Breaking Dawn; Waiting For Spring: Volume 3; Lovely War; Starsight; The Poppy War; Kiki’s Delivery Service: Volume 3 ; Come Tumbling Down and Heartstopper: Volume 3.

Weekly Reading Update: Daisy Jones and The Six

Once again we are back with another reading update!

This week we are taking about everything Poetry and Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid and oh boy oh boy…

Weekly Reading: Reading Magnus Chase & Book Mail

My new reading vlog is here, to see what I’ve been reading this week check out the Vlog… spoiler… I got book mail!

Weekly Reading Vlog: Finishing 2 books – July 15-21

I’ve decided to try something new in the realm of weekly reading. I was feeling as though my weekly update posts were getting really repetitive and I figured if I was getting bored writing them, then people would be getting bored reading them.

Instead I am giving VLOGGING a go, now I’ll be the first to admit that this will probably never be my best vlog ever, but I am still new to this and excited to see where it goes!

It would be amazing if you could check it out!

I know I totally need to work on thumbnails, but hopefully we get there!

Weekly Update: 17.6.19

Last week was a snail paced reading week and this week is looking much the same. Being in the last week of term (YAY) means more time doing work things and less time doing reading things. But with the downside comes the upside of holidays and travel and more time to relax and read.

I am still making my way through ‘The Iron Trial’ By Holly Black and Cassandra Clare which I only have about 2 hours left on! I am also sitting at just over 100 pages through ‘Sky in the Deep’ By Adrienne Young. I have definitely gotten to a point where I am eager to see where things are going to go. I definitely want to finish both of these book this week before heading off to Europe next week!

Weekly Update: 13.6.19

Over a week has definitely elapses since my last weekly update and what a busy time it was! I ended up going to camp with a different class than my own for 4 days last week which was very unexpected but an absolute blast! Even though it was a busy time I still managed to finish a book!

I was luckily still able to complete ‘Everblaze’ By Shannon Messenger, the 3rd book in the Keeper of Lost Cities series.

I am really enjoying this series and its definitely one I hope to complete before the end of the year – although I will be really sad when I don’t have anymore books to read in this series.

It’s a quick read being a middle grade novel, they are quite long, being 600+ pages each, but I could not recommend it more, especially if you love a fantasy series but are looking for an easy read.

I am continuing to listen to ‘The Iron Trial’ by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare. I only have around 4 hours left on this audiobook – which I am borrowing from my library – so I should be able to complete it this week!

After completing ‘Everblaze’ I was unsure about what I was going to read next. I changed around what I thought I was going to do at the end of May when I posted my June TBR and I am now moving into ‘Sky in the Deep’ By Adrienne Young instead of reading ‘Empire of storms’ By Sarah J. Maas first. I am still really enthralled by Norse Mythology, I don’t know if ‘Sky in the Deep’ has much mythology in it, but being a Viking book I am hopeful.

This week is another busy week! I am doing some extra teaching this afternoon with a different class (so excited) as well as picking up my wedding dress and changing up my hair a bit – which means a longer appointment. We are also in the process of enquiring about wedding cakes and sending out our invites. Along with all this we are preparing for our trip to Europe which we leave for in 13 days!

Weekly Update: 27.5.19

What a crazy week it has been! Work has been crazy hectic as well as a jam packed weekend full of wedding and travel related activities, I am genuinely exhausted, and its only Monday!

I finally finished reading ‘Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard: The Sword of Summer’ By Rick Riordan.

I love mythology so it really didn’t take long for me to get through this read.

Hopefully I can get to the sequel soon.

This week I am reading two middle grade books, I’ve picked up ‘Everblaze’ by Shannon Messenger, the third book in the Keeper of Lost Cities series. I am about 120 pages in and really hope to finish it this week. I have also picked up ‘The Iron Trial’ By Holly Black and Cassandra Clare. I am currently listening to this on the Borrow Box app after borrowing it from my local library.

What has your week been like?
