10 Characters I’d Follow on Instagram

Honestly Calla has become of my new favourite characters, If you haven’t seen my reviews of The Simple Wild and Wild at Heart by K.A. Tucker, then this is new information but if you have you know that I am absolutely in love with these books. Calla is an influencer within her universe and the astetic of her photos (as described in the books) is definitely one I’ follow on instagram!

Kiki would have a quirky little instagram page where she would definitely post about her delivery service and Jiji, I know I would love to be up to date on her Instagram and all her goings on.

Alex is a quirky character who is both artistic and badass. their instagram would definitely flow along with their gender and interests. It would be so interesting to keep up with all the different things they would post depending of any given day.

I can already see Lara Jean’s ascetic and I would be all here for it. It would definitely have a lot of cute baking photos as well as pastel colours, great outfits and of course PK and her family. It would honestly be the cutest thing ever.

Daisy Jones would have a hardcore rocker vibe to her instagram and honestly be all over that!

Blue as a character gives me an ethereal vibe there would definitely be a lot of scenery pictures as well as a lot of photos with the Raven Boys. There would be so much friendship and spookiness, I’d love it.

Luna Luna Luna. Her instagram would be amazing. Full of quibbler articles, naturalist adventures, magical creatures and her friends. All the best aspects of Harry Potter rolled into one!

The Instagram of Keefe would be so full of pranks and nonsense that it would be hilarious all the time. There would be gorgeous Alicorns, friendship pictures and a little bit of mischief.

Honestly Greta’s Instagram would be filled with tea dragons. I would for sure want to follow that utter cuteness.

An Instagram account from space, umm… yes please! I would love to see what was going on on another planet! Spensa would for sure post about Mbot, Doomslug and all the other flight crew. It would definitely be galaxy themed.

Who Am I? Tag

I definitely WANT to say fantasy for this but it would definitely be a contemporary, probably with a late 20’s main character who people don’t really care to read about.

Maybe Victoria from The Twilight Saga, She definitely is insane but I can understand that she went a bit more off her rocker after James was killed by Edward and his family.

Maybe Calla from ‘The Simple Wild’ by K.A. Tucker. I definitely want to go to Alaska, however I am definitely more high maintenance.

I loved the Saddle Club books when I was younger but now, obviously, not so much.

As much as I probably wouldn’t be as brave or as badass I would definitely want to be Aelin from ‘Kingdom of Ash’.

I think the fact that I always have multiple books on the go is indicative of my personality. I am constantly focusing on a million different things and once and trying to complete all of them. I also really enjoy reading and prefer spending my time completing activities where I am by myself or with a select few people.

I definitely learnt how to challenge myself from reading and that I am more capable than I believe I am. I’ve definitely accepted myself more from reading as well.

Fictional Christmas Squad Tag

I saw this tag over on Jenniely blog and I thought it was super festive and fun!

Pretty much you just name a fictional character that is that kind of person. I am going to use only characters that are in books that I’ve read this year.

Lara Jean from the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before triology. She would definitely bake everybody some Christmas Goodness

Alvar Vacker from the Keeper of Lost Cities series is definitely a scrooge

Charli GrantSave the Date – she loves a wedding and I’m willing to bet she’s the one decorating the tree on December first.

Charlie from Heartstopper Volume 2. He seems like a character who would go all out for Christmas.

Magnus Chase from the Gods of Asgard series. I feel like all the Einherjar chilling at Hotel Valhalla playing all the board games in front of a fire.

Bella Swan – Twilight – would definitely be someone to stay in her Pjs all day!

Hagrid! 100% he would do it!

I Tag everyone in this Festive Tag!

Volume 1

Nicholas Cox is determined to prove himself in the world of competitive fencing, and earn his place alongside fencing legends like the dad he never knew, but things get more complicated when he’s up against his golden-boy half-brother, as well as sullen fencing prodigy, Seiji Katayama.

Nicholas, the illegitimate son of a retired fencing champion, is a scrappy fencing wunderkind, and dreams of getting the chance and the training to actually compete. After getting accepted to the prodigious Kings Row private school, Nicholas is thrust into a cut-throat world, and finds himself facing not only his golden-boy half-brother, but the unbeatable, mysterious Seiji Katayama…

Through clashes, rivalries, and romance between teammates, Nicholas and the boys of Kings Row will discover there’s much more to fencing than just foils and lunges. From acclaimed writer C.S. Pacat (The Captive Prince) and fan-favorite artist Johanna the Mad.

Volume 2

Scrappy fencer Nicholas Cox comes to the end of his path to prove himself worthy of a father he never knew in the face of surly upperclassmen, nearly impossible odds, and the talent of his rival, sullen fencing prodigy, Seiji Katayama.

Sparks fly white-hot on the pitch as Nicholas and Seiji finally face off once again in the halls of King’s Row. It’s a match that will change King’s Row (and both of them!) forever, and set the stage as the team journeys to face their bitter rivals and prove themselves once and for all.

The third volume of the breakneck series from writer C.S. Pacat (The Captive Prince) and fan-favorite artist Johanna the Mad comes at you as fast as a parry and hits as hard as a strike.

This was a graphic novel I picked up while I was exploring the shelves at Minator. I didn’t know what to expect bur after further research I discovered that C.S. Pacat is Australian and even better from Melbourne! I was so excited and keen to support an Australian author that I picked up the first Graphic Novel in store and then ordered the second one!

I was so excited to jump into the story. I really only knew that it was about fencing. Nothing else. I’m kind of glad that was the case! I love jumping into books without really exploring the concept before hand.

I loved the art style in this graphic novel. At some points I was really reminded of Pokemon with the facial expressions in certain moments. But I loved the colouring and the layout so much.

The first two graphic novels set up our characters. We are learning about our protagonist Nicolas Cox why is a budding fencer coming from a poorer background than many other fencers. We also meet his ‘rival’ Seiji
Katayama who is nationally ranked at number 2. We meet a slew of fencers along the way at Kings Row. A school that both boys end up at.

We really get a feel for the level of competition between the characters and I really wanted to know what happened next. So much so that I have decided to read the rest of the series on Kindle and order the physical copies as they become available.

As a graphic novel series I really recommend it! I really enjoyed the first two volumes and cannot wait to get to the rest of them!
